Also for my current games on the SD card if I copy them to a larger SD card would everything work the same?

However, you cannot use that SD card in another 3DS to play those downloaded games, as the downloads and save files are tied to your system. You can download a game as many times as you want, as long as its on the same 3DS that you originally purchased the game on, otherwise you have to perform a system transfer.
If your 3DS breaks, you might as well say those games are history, unless you fancy having to call Nintendo and jumping through hoops to get them to allow you to download them on your replacement 3DS. So yeah, buy Physical Copies over Digital. I'm mainly a PC gamer so I'm used to digital. Plus when I'm out don't want to carry all my games on me but being able to access all my games would be nice.
Don't like how Nintendo does it. Problem is MH4U sold out in most of the stores near me and I just want to buy it.
